Connect Live Class by BrainCert MCP to ChatGPT

Live Class by BrainCert MCP lets you connect Live Class to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible AI assistants. After you connect the integration, you can use the Live Class capabilities exposed through MCP directly from your supported AI assistant.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

An active Live Class account with access to Integrations
Access to Live Class by BrainCert MCP under Integrations
An AI assistant that supports remote MCP servers
The required permissions to add or connect an MCP app in your AI assistant

For ChatGPT, availability of custom MCP apps and Developer Mode depends on your plan and workspace settings. Workspace administrators may also need to enable the required access.

Step 1: Open Integrations

From your Live Class dashboard, go to 'Integrations'. Find 'Live Class by BrainCert MCP' in the list of available integrations.

Step 2: Connect Live Class MCP

Click 'Connect' on the 'Live Class by BrainCert MCP' integration.

Step 3: Copy the MCP Server URL

After connecting, the 'Live Class by BrainCert MCP' card displays the MCP server URL. Click the 'Copy' icon to copy the URL.

Keep the server URL available while configuring the MCP connection in your AI assistant.

Step 4: Open ChatGPT

Open 'ChatGPT' and go to 'Plugins', then click '+' to add a new app, depending on the options available in your ChatGPT account.

If your workspace requires Developer Mode for custom MCP apps, enable it before creating the connection. The exact location of this setting may vary by plan and workspace.

Step 5: Add a Remote MCP Server

Select 'Remote MCP Server' and enter the Live Class MCP details. Select the authentication method required by the Live Class MCP connection and finally click 'Continue'.

Step 6: Authorize the Connection

Review the connection details and complete the authorization steps shown by ChatGPT.

Once the setup is complete, the 'Live Class MCP' app will be available in your ChatGPT account or workspace, subject to your workspace permissions.

Step 7: Use Live Class MCP in ChatGPT

Start a new ChatGPT conversation and select Live Class by BrainCert MCP from the available apps or tools.

Try a request related to your available Live Class MCP tools, such as:

Show my upcoming Live Class sessions.
List my recent Live Class recordings.
Show attendance information for my recent sessions.

Step 8: Manage the MCP Connection

To manage the Live Class MCP connection, go to 'Integrations' → 'Live Class by BrainCert MCP' in Live Class. Click 'Manage' to access the available connection settings.

Step 9: Rotate the Token

Click 'Rotate token' when you need to replace the current MCP access token.

After rotating the token, update the MCP configuration in any connected applications that use the previous token.

Step 10: Revoke the Connection

To stop using the Live Class MCP connection, click Revoke.

After you revoke the connection, the AI assistant will no longer be able to use the Live Class MCP connection until you connect and authorize it again.

Troubleshooting

I don't see Live Class by BrainCert MCP

Make sure you have access to Integrations in Live Class and that your account has the MCP integration.

I can't create a custom MCP app in ChatGPT

Custom MCP app availability and Developer Mode access depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace permissions. A workspace administrator may need to enable Developer Mode or grant the required access.

ChatGPT can't connect to Live Class

Verify that the MCP server URL is entered exactly as:

https://mcp.liveclass.vc/mcp

Also check that you've completed the required authorization.

The connection stopped working

Check whether the MCP token was rotated or revoked. If the token was changed, update the connection using the current credentials.

Some Live Class actions are unavailable

The actions available in ChatGPT depend on the tools exposed by the MCP server and the permissions configured for your account or workspace.

Security Best Practices

Connect Live Class MCP only to AI assistants and workspaces you trust.
Review requested permissions before authorizing the connection.
Keep your MCP credentials secure and do not share them in chats or screenshots.
Rotate the token if you believe the current credential may have been exposed.
Disconnect the integration when it is no longer needed.
