Create an Attendance Policy

Step 4: Add a New Policy

Under 'Attendance Policies', click '+ New Policy'.

3

Step 5: Enter Policy Name

Enter a 'Policy Name' and 'Description'.

4

Step 6: Set Seat Time

Enter the 'Minimum Seat Time (%)' required for an attendee to meet the policy.

Then select the Seat Time Basis:

  • Actual session length: Calculates seat time based on the actual length of the session.

  • Scheduled duration: Calculates seat time based on the scheduled session duration.

5

Step 7: Choose a Verification Method

Select how attendees will verify their presence:

  • Presence check: Attendees confirm their presence with a one-click 'I'm here' confirmation.

  • Code entry: Display a short code, and attendees enter it.

  • Poll: Attendees respond to a verification poll.

  • Mixed: Rotates verification methods so the pattern cannot be automated.

6

Step 8: Configure Verification Timing

Set the verification timing using the following fields:

  • Check Interval Min (min): Minimum time between verification checks.

  • Check Interval Max (min): Maximum time between verification checks.

  • Response Timeout (sec): How long attendees have to respond to a verification check.

  • Grace Period (min): Additional time allowed for a response.

7

Step 9: Set Required Checks

Use 'Required Check % (%)' or 'Required Check Count' to define how many verification checks an attendee must complete.

Leave these fields blank if you do not want to apply a required-check rule. A required check count is capped at the number of checks actually issued. This means a short session will not cause attendees to fail because fewer checks were issued.

8

Step 10: Configure Attendance Options

Configure the following options as needed:

  • Allow late join: Allows attendees to join after the session starts.

  • Allow reconnect: Allows attendees to reconnect after losing their connection.

  • Collect IP / device metadata: Records IP and device information as audit metadata only. It is not used as proof of identity or presence.

  • Use as default policy: Makes this policy the default for applicable sessions.

Review the policy settings and click 'Create Policy'.

9

Edit an Attendance Policy

Step 11: Edit a Policy

Under 'Attendance Policies', select 'Edit' for the policy you want to modify. Use the 'Delete' icon to delete the policy.

10

Attendance Verification helps you collect attendance evidence using reusable policies and review verification results for completed sessions. Configure each policy according to your organization's requirements, and verify any accreditation or compliance requirements with the appropriate authority.
